Vy Luu
Vy (pronounced like the letter “V”; she/her) is currently pursuing an M.A. in Oral History at Columbia University. She and her family immigrated to the U.S. from Vietnam when she was seven years old to reunite with their extended family living in San Diego; since then, Vy has always been curious about her family’s history and the broader Vietnamese American story. Vy obtained her B.A. in Sociology with Honors in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University. After Stanford, Vy first worked in local government at the City of San Jose, and then started working in electoral politics in the 2018 cycle. Currently, she is based in Brooklyn. In her free time, Vy enjoys running and hiking, cooking and baking, and exploring NYC.
