Koreatown Dreaming

Koreatown Dreaming is a photobook documenting the stories of 40 Korean-American small businesses and establishments in Koreatown, Los Angeles. These intimate stories and photos, captured by photographer @hahnbo, take us a little deeper into the struggles of immigrant life, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on small businesses, rising gentrification in Koreatown and the hard decisions small business owners face every day to stay open. This book is a celebration of #KoreanAmerican stories and honors the contributions of Korean immigrant small business owners who have helped build Koreatown into the iconic neighborhood it is today.

Our Senior Editor, @katherineyungmeekim, who leads our #KoreatownStorytelling Program at KYCC, contributed to this book and 5% of all proceeds to this fundraiser will benefit our agency.

There are only 4 more days left of this Kickstarter, so go support this project and receive your own copy of this beautiful photobook! Link to the Kickstarter is in our LinkTree.
