Koreatown Storytelling Program explored the traditional healing arts in our Koreatown community, including acupuncturists, herbalists, shamans, botanicas, and curanderas.
For the 2024-2025 Winter Quarter, KSP partnered with the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese to conduct a multimedia linguistic landscape project and community storymap of traditional healing businesses in Koreatown, Pico-Union, and Westlake.

The Historic Buildings Project is a partnership between the Koreatown Storytelling Program and the California State University, Northridge Department of Linguistics. For the Spring 2025 semester, CSUN students mapped key sites, from supermarkets to an iconic concert theatre, that serve as important landmarks for the Koreatown, Pico-Union, and Westlake communities. This linguistic landscape and community journalism StoryMap is part of the K-Town Atlas.
