KSP Book Volumes 3 and 4 Out Now!

Volumes 3 and 4 of the Koreatown Storytelling Program Book are out now! These books are comprised of narratives from our 2021 Eldercare and 2023-24 Koreatown Organizing to Reduce Youth Opioid [Use], or KORYO, cohorts.

Our eldercare cohort interviewed older adults about their experiences navigating Medi-Cal and living in elder residences or care facilities. They also spoke with caretakers and health professionals who shared their outlooks on what eldercare in Koreatown looks like.

Volume 4 is a collection of stories about recovery, healing, and reversing stigmas surrounding opioids and substance abuse. These interviews were done in partnership with KYCC’s Prevention Education and Recovery Services, documented by a team of high school youth students who wanted to raise awareness and access to recovery for youth who are struggling with substance use.

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing narrators for sharing their stories with us, and we’re so excited to share them with you all. Physical copies of the KSP Book Volumes 3 & 4 are available now! Donations of $50 or more via Give Lively will receive a copy of the book of their choice. Donations of $100 or more will receive a book AND a KSP BAGGU tote bag.
