KSP reflects on the 1992 LA Civil Unrest
We had an incredible night exploring race and class in Los Angeles with our partners @KAFLA and @KYCCLA, and @CTGLA's performance of monologues from Twilight, a play that continues to be relevant decades after the 1992 LA Civil Unrest and the issues of race and class that surrounded it. Afterward, we had a thought-provoking conversation with Steph Cha, author of YOUR HOUSE WILL PAY, who shared her deep insights into Los Angeles' racial tensions and cultural clashes.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and a special shoutout to our very own Sarah Se-Hyun Jho for leading the discussion with such grace and thoughtfulness. This was a truly inspiring evening that showcased the power of literature to shed light on important social issues.
