Photography Workshop with Las Fotos Project

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, KSP welcomed back our friends from Las Fotos Project for another portraiture workshop! LFP is an LA-based organization that works to mentor teenage girls and gender expansive youth through photography.

Our workshop began with a breakdown of basic photography principles, like the rule of thirds, lighting, and other composition techniques. Then, students and participants broke into groups to practice shooting their own photos around the room against various backdrops and lightings.

As we continue documenting stories in our Koreatown community, workshops like these equip our students with artistic tools to help share these narratives. Thank you LFP for leading this amazing creative workshop for us!
