Koreatown Storytelling Program is so excited to finally share KSP Volume II: The Garment Industry. Following the release of our first volume, which documented Koreatown stories during the COVID-19 pandemic, this second book centers around the diverse voices from Los Angeles’s Garment Industry.

On Saturday Oct. 28, KSP welcomed Multi-Disciplined Drag Artist, Activist, and Cultural Competency Consultant, Sydney Rogers, as she led a workshop on LGBTQIA+ terminology and Trans 101.

KSP was super honored to be granted $100,000 from the Snap Foundation for our 2023-2024 cohort on the LGBTQIA+ community in Koreatown.
KSP Awarded the Honda Community Grant!
KYCC’s Koreatown Storytelling Project (KSP) has been awarded a 2023-2024 Honda Community Grant for $25,000, which will contribute directly to the growth of KSP and the expansion of intergenerational outreach events and historical multimedia education in the Koreatown community.

KSP at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference 2023
This year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference was held from June 26-29 in Anaheim, CA. Koreatown Storytelling Program Director Katherine Kim, alongside CoGenerate’s Janet Oh and Elly Katz, as well as Civics Unplugged’s Michaela Davenport, spoke on a panel to discuss co-mentorship between youth and older adults and the importance of intergenerational relationships in supporting youth leadership.
